Worked for the two largest oil companies in the world, then started his own. Sold his company in 1989, then disappeared into obscurity. Wrote an ebook: THE BRIDGE TO CARACAS the incredible story of my life in the oil business. Delta Upsilon Fraternity Brother. (The factional story of my life) After I sold my business, in 1989, I disappeared into obscurity. In my case, obscurity was a cottage in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, in the summers, and a home in Florida in the winters. Shortly after moving to Muskoka, I met a neighbour, Peter Jennings, who had a cottage around the point from mine. We had dinner one night, and, post too many wines, he asked what I had done for a living. So I told him. He said, "Wow! You've got to tell that story! It'll be a best seller!" I told him, "I've never written anything longer than a long essay." Then in 1990, I started writing, long hand. Twenty-one years later, I produced a manuscript: "The Bridge to Caracas." In it, I'm Mike King. Jim Servito is the nicest crook I ever knew. During the time I knew him, he managed to steal $325,000,000 from the feds in Canada and the U.S., via the mechanism of gasoline tax evasion. The Peace Bridge was the fulcrum of his scam. Caracas was his "retirement home." What a blast! https://thebridgetocaracas.com
